The Distinct Life x Reebok Classics “TDL Camo” Ventilator

Rick Williams and The Distinct Life are proud to present the “TDL Camo” Ventilator. This Rick Williams designed project features TDL’s proprietary camouflage pattern debossed into rich maroon soft full grain leather, tan mesh and a gum sole. This shoe also features an ode to Rick’s affiliation with Frank The Butcher’s BAU crew and brand in the form of a lace lock and embroidery hit.

Rick says, “This shoe is a TDL project showcasing my personal brand outside of my Burn Rubber retail situation. It was important for me to have a platform that is expressive of my own likes in terms of design. The BAU component is call out to my friendship and affiliation with Frank and BAU. It’s a TDL shoe first and foremost, just shouting out my crew. All family.”

Distinct Life x AGI – Vehicle Wraps: Available Now!

In the spirit of the North American Auto Show, I have decided to launch my latest project. I have gotten with my guys at Axiom Graphics, Inc. (AGI) to develop a custom car wrap program using the the Distinct Life camouflage print. AGI will be stocking the Distinct Life camouflage pattern in traditional olive, white, and black. To launch this new project, we recently wrapped three vehicles, representing each of the Big 3 Motor City brands; a Chevrolet Cruze, Dodge Magnum, and Ford Escape each in a different colorway.

The Distinct Life will be working with AGI to offer a package where people can come to AGI to develop a custom design, leveraging our proprietary camouflage pattern or by creating a completely unique design altogether. The Distinct Life will work on the design with the customer, and AGI will execute the vehicle wrap. This was an exciting project for me in being able to pay homage to my Detroit roots and also to bring the Distinct Life brand to the automotive world for the first time. More automotive related Distinct Life projects are planned for the future.

Last week, Heineken challenged me to highlight what makes Detroit the most iconic, legendary, worldly and original city in the US. For 7 days, I posted images on Instagram inspired by the Heineken brand and tagged with these hashtags: #HKNWorld, #HKNOriginal, #HKNUnchangedSince, #HKNRareImport.
8 other bloggers from across the country were with me in the race.

With the summer slowly coming to a close, Heineken has challenged me to showcase the best of my city. Heineken is one of the most iconic brands in the world and in the next few days, Heineken has tasked me with taking Instagram pics of DETROIT, to show Heineken what truly makes DETROIT the most iconic, legendary, worldly and original city in the US.

There will be bloggers from nine other cities participating in this contest, so when you see my Heineken Instagram shots go up, please “like” them.
